On February 28, the Texas Wild Rice Festival campaign funding closed with it's goal of $12,000 reached to ensure full-operation of the event.
Donations towards the non-profit is reported to fund management costs, site fees, advertising and merchandise expenses. The contributions help to make the workshops and educational booths possible.
This fundraiser was used to celebrate the love and appreciation for the San Marcos River while raising awareness towards preservation of it's location.
Numerous speakers, musicians and vendors are offered to provide entertainment and education towards this majestic ecosystem.
The community is brought together for this free educational event today and on April 12 to exchange visions towards the river.
